Séanfhocail
Séanfhocail (proverbs) are Irish sayings that can teach us a huge amount about our history. They also offer us valuable advice that is as relevant today as it was many years ago. Take a look at a selection of proverbs below and try the challenge at the end of the page.

| Is glas iad na cnoic i bhfad uainn. | Faraway hills are green. |
| Is fearr an sláinte ná an táinte. | Health is better than wealth. |
| Chuirfeadh sé cosa faoi chearca duit. | He'd build a nest in your ear. |
